Rappin’ for Jesus – Church Video Fails – ‘Jesus Christ is my Nigga’

May 4, 2014 by pfeifer

Given the rapid decline of young people interested in church or formal religious services, I understand why some ministers would look for creative ways to keep church youth interested in the program.

Here’s a tip: rapping for Jesus is not the way for a white middle-aged pastor to reach young people. At least not in the way he had in mind.

And if you insist on making a desperate attempt to connect with young people by making yourself look like a fool, at least please leave out lines like “Jesus Christ is my nigga.'”

Misleading Government Headlines on Bankruptcy Report

Yesterday the Administrative Office for the U.S. Courts released a report entitled Growth in Bankruptcy Filings Slows in Calendar Year 2010. At first glance, one might be lead to believe that meant that bankruptcy filings had gone down in 2010. While this would be the desired political result of a government that wants people to think […]

Miley Cyrus lap dance video – stupid news story of the day

Image via Wikipedia Miley Cyrus lap dance video – aka, much ado about nothing The website TMZ.com is creating controversy over a video from a year ago showing a then-16-year-old Miley Cyrus giving an alleged lapdance to then-44-year-old Adam Shankman, one of the hosts of “So You Think You Can Dance.”  Shankman is openly gay, […]

Clickbait Headlines to Refuse to Click – Stop Reading Garbage Articles on the Internet

Clickbait headlines are getting worse and worse by the day, yet people seem so conditioned into clicking onto garbage articles on the internet that they read the stories anyway. There is a wide array of stories that I simply refuse to read because the headlines follow the same pattern and use the same traps to […]

McCain and Lieberman introduce legislation to free the terrorists and make evidence against them inadmissible in court

Image via Wikipedia John McCain and Joe Lieberman have introduced legislation which could force courts to release terrorists who attack the United States by making evidence against those terrorists inadmissible in court.  This outcome is not their goal, but in a fervor of pathetic political pandering they have introduced a bill that specifically prohibits arresting […]

Review of the review of James Cameron’s Avatar on RedLetterMedia.com

Image via Wikipedia Roger Ebert, step aside. There’s a new movie reviewer in town who is grinding all others into dust. Or perhaps chaining them up in his basement and skinning them alive would be a more accurate description. His name (or at least his character) is Mr. Plinkett, his website is RedLetterMedia.com, and his […]

Outwrite Bookstore and Coffeehouse – An Accidental Day at a Gay Bookstore

Those who know me know that I often go to coffee shops when I need to get some work done, particularly when I want to do some writing.  I’ve found that the coffee shop environment, for whatever reason (I’m guessing caffeine), is very conducive to me being able to concentrate on my work. While I […]

FTC Complaint filed against Google Buzz for alleged privacy violations (copy of original complaint included)

Image via Wikipedia Google Buzz, the new social networking tool released by Google just a week ago, was hit with an FTC complaint on Tuesday of this week. The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed a 16 page GoogleBuzz_Complaint with the FTC, alleging that Google Buzz violates the privacy of Gmail (Google email) users. The […]

Yellowstone/Grand Teton Review, Day 7 – Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, Mammoth Springs Dining Room, Albright Visitor’s Center, and Stops on the Way to Signal Mountain Lodge

Although the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was quiet during the night, the hallways were rather noisy in the morning. This was not due to unruly guests, but due to the hotel’s design. The hallways are long and solidly built, but with high ceilings and widely spaced walls. The tunnel effect seemed to amplify sounds, making […]

Major Updates Coming Soon

As anyone who used to read this site has noticed, it has been completely inactive for a year now and significantly inactive longer than that. I’ve been busy, and this site simply slipped in importance compared to the other things I had to do. However, we are happy to announce that we are in the […]
