Major Updates Coming Soon

March 16, 2012 by pfeifer

As anyone who used to read this site has noticed, it has been completely inactive for a year now and significantly inactive longer than that. I’ve been busy, and this site simply slipped in importance compared to the other things I had to do.

However, we are happy to announce that we are in the process of making a major expansion of  The Stubborn Writer, which will add extensive writing resources for writers to the site. We will still try to post funny, snarky, or annoying articles too, but the general shift will be towards becoming a top website for writers. Watch for our site changes in July and August.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for 2010 puts Brooklyn Decker swimsuit photo on the cover

Image via Wikipedia What better way to warm up in February than with a copy of the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition? This year’s Sports Illustrated (SI) cover model is Brooklyn Decker, who has appeared in bikini photos in the magazine each year for the last five years. We have included a series of Brooklyn […]

Jennifer Aniston Sex Tape Online, Via SmartWater

Jennifer Aniston Sex Tape – Now Online Courtesy of SmartWater Have you seen the new “Jennifer Aniston Sex Tape?” I’ve been a fan of hers for years, so I thought this video promoting Smart Water was great. Some people haven’t found it to be as funny, but I guess you can’t please everyone. If you […]

The Greatest Lawyer Jokes of All Time still in print

Yesterday morning an acquaintance said she wished she knew where to find a good lawyer joke book for her boyfriend, a law school student.  As luck would have it, I knew just the book to recommend. (Note: see FTC Notice). In 2007, I published a small book of lawyer jokes called The Greatest Lawyer Jokes […]

Ignore this post, we are just kicking the tires of the design

Image via Wikipedia This is a test post to kick the tires of our new website, which is still under development.  We are working on the design to implement graphics, video, images, and advertisements (we gotta pay for it somehow). Once it is completed, we hope to be informative, controversial, sometimes offensive, occasionally funny, and […]

Open-carry, Brady campaign, Starbucks, and the gun rights debates at Dunkin Donuts

Image via Wikipedia The debate among the open-carry gun rights advocates, Brady campaign supporters, and lovers of Starbucks coffee spilled over onto my Facebook page this morning after an innocent status update about Dunkin’ Donuts.  It became so entertaining I decided it could be converted into a blog post.  How’s that for harvesting the internet […]

Lying Cops and Rubber-Stamp Judges: What Can an Appellate Court Do?

A recent ruling from a Florida appellate court in the case of Ruiz v. State questioned the honest of the cops and the independence of the judge in a dispute over whether a defendant had given consent to a search of his home. The appellate court all but said the law enforcement officers committed perjury, […]

Yellowstone/Grand Teton Vacation Review, Day 4 – Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Family Inn Restaurant

We managed to get out of our room at Jackson Lake Lodge by the 11:00 a.m. checkout time. This got us downstairs and outside in time for the raptor show being put on by the Teton Raptor Center. Although we missed most of the programs like this, the Jackson Lake Lodge appears to host many […]

Defense of Marriage Act Not Defendable In Court

The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) will no longer be defended in court by the Obama administration, according to an announcement by Attorney General Eric Holder. The Defense of Marriage Act, a facially discriminatory statute that barred federal recognition of same-sex marriages (thus preventing gay married couples from receiving the same federal benefits as heterosexual […]

McCain and Lieberman introduce legislation to free the terrorists and make evidence against them inadmissible in court

Image via Wikipedia John McCain and Joe Lieberman have introduced legislation which could force courts to release terrorists who attack the United States by making evidence against those terrorists inadmissible in court.  This outcome is not their goal, but in a fervor of pathetic political pandering they have introduced a bill that specifically prohibits arresting […]
